What If Al Gore Had Been President?
Posted: Saturday, December 23, 2006 1:59 PM

Suppose the Supreme Court had not overturned the will of the American people in 2000. Suppose the man who got the most votes (including in Florida) -- Al Gore -- had taken office. What would our country be like today?

Some things are certain:

  • Osama bin Laden would be dead or in prison.
  • Our nation would be out of debt.
  • Our young soldiers would not be dying in a "nation-building" fiasco in Iraq.
  • Our nation would be working with the rest of the world to stop global warming.

Maybe then we would have snow on the ground in December, too!

Merry Christmas everyone!
