BACKGROUND

In the KeweenawNow discussion boards, several posters raised issues about the establishment and management of the Bootjack Fire & Rescue Foundation.

On February 15, 2006, Dan Sarazin presented this report to the Torch Lake board detailing the history of the foundation from its inception. Along with this report, Chief Sarazin submitted a book of supporting documents. Those documents can be reviewed at the Hubbell Community Center.

NOTE

A few obvious errors occurred when this document was scanned into the computer: Bootjack scanned as Boo~ack in several places, and some numeral '5's scanned as 'S's. Those errors, of course, do not appear in the original.
