FORMATTING TEXT WITH INTERNET EXPLORER
When you post to UpOurWay.com, the web site software makes use of built-in features of Microsoft's Internet Explorer to provide a window-like means of formatting your text.
To make use of those features:
- Enter your text without bothering about formatting.
- Highlight the portion of the text that you want to format.
- Click the icon corresponding to the formatting you want.
For example, to change some text to bold, highlight it, then click the bold icon.
Similarly, to change some text into a hyperlink, highlight it, then click the www-link icon. In the dialog box that then appears, enter its hyperlink destination.
To enter an emoticon, position the cursor in your text and click the smiley face icon.
OTHER BROWERS
About 15% of web users do not use Internet Explorer, and for very good reasons. However, those users do not have access to the Internet Explorer formatting features described above.
If you do use another browser, you will still be able to post to UpOurWay.com, but without special formatting.
